WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – A weekend weather forecast that calls for significant precipitation for the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia and the lack of suitable indoor facilities has forced the cancellation of the WSSU men’s and women’s tennis matches scheduled for March 12, 13 and 14 as announced by WSSU head tennis coach Charlie Schoderbek.

The Rams and Lady Rams have cancelled their matches at Coppin State (March 12 in Baltimore), Loyola University of Maryland (March 13 in Baltimore) and Howard (March 14 in Washington, D.C.) due to the lack of indoor tennis facilities.  The trio of matches will not be rescheduled.

The WSSU tennis teams will return to action on Thursday, March 18 as they play host to the Chanticleers of Coastal Carolina University at the WSSU Tennis Complex.
