Winston-Salem, NC - Senior men's tennis player Jayson Williams (Senior/Jacksonville, NC) was named the Winston-Salem State University Men's Tennis MVP on Wednesday April 28th, 2004 at the 2004 WSSU Athletic Awards Banquet that was held at the McNeil Ballroom of the Anderson Center.

Williams, the lone senior on the team, and two-year team captain helped to lead the Rams to a seventh place finish in the CIAA this past season as he proved to be a dominant force in the 2004 CIAA Tennis Championships in Charlotte, NC.

For her efforts, he was named the WSSU Men's Tennis MVP and was recognized at WSSU's Annual Athletic Awards Banquet.
