2008-09: Jamal didn't compete in the 2008-09 indoor season...Competed in three outdoor meets...Had his best time at the 2009 Wake Forest Open where he finished 58th in 23.07.

2007-08:Jamal was a solid addition to the team in the fall of 2007...He competed in four total meets both in sprints and jumps...He began his career at the Liberty Kick Off where he placed 20th in the men's long jump with a leap of 19'10.75" (6.06m)...He competed in three outdoor meets with his best performance coming at the Duke Asics Invitational where he placed 14th with a 20'3.75" (6.19m)...He was also a member of the Rams' sprint relay teams

Personal: Bell returns to the Rams track & field team for his third season in 2009-10...A native of Durham, NC, he is a 2007 graduate of Cardinal Gibbons School...Earned numerous honors in high school including earning the Crusader Award for track & field as well as the Most Improved award for football and track & field...An Exercise Science major...He is the son of Eugene and Paula Bell...His father played basketball at Eastern Carolina...Born on November 12, 1987.
