Personal: The 2007-08 season marks Bynum's third year as a member of the WSSU men's track and field team where he will compete in the 100 meters, 200 meters, and 4x100 meter relay. A native of Chicago, IL, he is a 2005 graduate of Lee County Senior High School where he was an All-Conference and All-Area selection in his junior and senior seasons as well as being a member of the Yellow Jackets' back-to-back-to-back 4AA conference championship track and field teams. In addition to running track in high school, he was a defensive back and running back for the Yellow Jackets' football team for four seasons where he won a 4AA conference championship his senior season. The son of Melvin and Mernita Bynum, he is a Criminal Justice major at WSSU. His cousin Freddy Bynum plays baseball for the Baltimore Orioles. He was born in Chicago, IL on September 24, 1986. Nicknamed "Rabbit".
