Personal: The 2008-09 season will mark Marcellus' fourth year as a member of the WSSU men's track and field team where he will compete in the sprint events. A native of Washington, D.C., he is a 2005 graduate of H.D. Woodson High School where he was a cornerback on the football team in addition to running track. An all-conference selection at cornerback twice during his high school career, he was named to the Washington Post All-Meet team for track and field. Turned in personal bests of 10.83 seconds in the 100 meters; 21.9 in the 200 meters; and 50.1 in the 400 meters while in high school. The son of Jeffrey Marcellus and Pamela Gamble, he is a Mass Communication major at WSSU. Born in Washington, D.C. on September 7, 1987. Nicknamed "Half-Man."
