2008-09: Elijah had a great freshman season with the Rams...He kicked things off with a 6th place finish at the 2008 Liberty Kickoff...His best time of the indoor season came at the 2009 Liberty Open with a 2:03.01 in the men's 800m run...He posted his best outdoor time in the 800m run at the 2009 Chick-fil-A UNC Elite with a 1:56.58...He placed 24th with the effort.

Personal: Elijah will return to the Rams Track & Field team this fall...He is a native of Raleigh, NC where he enjoyed a solid high school career at Southeast Raleigh High School...He earned multiple letters in both football and in track & field for the Bulldogs...He earned four letters in football as well as earning three letters in track & field...He was a member of the Bulldogs' 2007 indoor track & field state championship team...He earned numerous honors, including all-conference honors and Coaches Award...He also earned All-Academic honors as well...A Business Administration major, he is the son of Treva Strickland.
