Personal: The 2006 season marks Wainright's first as a member of the WSSU men's track and field team where he will compete in the 400 meters, the 110 meter high hurdles, the 400 meter hurdles, and the 4x400 meter relay. A native of Fayetteville, NC, he is a 2002 graduate of Sierra High School in Colorado Springs, CO where he was ranked eighth in the state in the 110 meter high hurdles. In addition to running track for the Stallions, he was a wide receiver and cornerback on the Sierra High School football team where he was an Honorable Mention All-State selection and First-Team All-League selection. The son of Krishna and Sandra Wainwright, he is a Psychology major at WSSU. Born in Colorado Springs, CO on December 31, 1983, he is nicknamed "Kolorado".
