2008-09: Did not compete.

2007-08: Had a solid indoor and outdoor season as a junior...His best indoor place came at the Liberty Fast Times where he finished eighth in the men's 1000m run in 2:51.58...Had his best indoor time at the Virginia Tech Challenge, the team's indoor season finale....Finished 45th in the men's 800m run with a 2:00.00....Continued through the outdoor season where he ran a season-best 2:05.31 in the 800m run at the Wake Forest Open.

2006-07: Cory had a solid sophomore season as a Ram with some great efforts during the indoor and outdoor season...His best indoor finish came in the men's 1000m run at the Father Diamond Invitational hosted by George Mason where he finished 12th in 2:54.02...He had a great outdoor season as well where he had a season-best 2:02.42 in the men's 800m run at the Shamrock Invitational...He finished 29th....He also contributed on the Rams' relay team throughout the season.

2006: Had a great freshman season in 2006, the final season as an NCAA Division II team...Ran a personal best at the Virginia State Trojans Multi-Explosion where he finished second in the men's 800m run in 2:03.29.

Personal: Wright rejoins the Rams' cross-country and track and field teams for his fourth season in 2009-10 following very successful campaigns in 2007-08, 2006-07 and 2005-06...A native of Belleville, Ontario, Canada, he is a 2005 graduate of Glenn High School in Kernersville, NC where he served as his High School cross-country captain en route to All-Conference honors in 2004...Was a member of the Bobcats swim team and served as captain earning MVP honors in 2004-05...Won the swimming and track and field coaches award his senior season as well...The son of Ken and Dawn Wright...A Physical Therapy major at WSSU...Born in Belleville, Ontario, Canada on July 6, 1987.
