PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Winston-Salem State University men's relay teams capped a long, successful week with a great performance at the 2009 Penn Relays. The Rams placed 24th of 31 teams in the men's 4x800m relay while the men'z 4x400m relay team placed seventh on Saturday.

The Rams finished the men's 4x800m relay in 7:42.53 with the quartet of freshman Elijah Strickland, freshman Desmond Wiggan, sophomore Cornell Jones, and freshman Andrew Chebii completed the event for Winston-Salem State. The Rams finished ninth in the second section of the event.

The Ram's 4x400m relay also had a great day, placing seventh in the men's 4x400m relay. The quartet of senior Richard Marcellus, senior Gerrod Sidbury, freshman Bobby Grier, and junior Chad Smith finished the event in 3:20.69.
