2009: Cornell had a strong junior season with the Rams cross country team...His best finish of the season came at the Salem College Invitational where he placed 16th at the 8K event with a 32:34.8...The effort was also his best time of the season.

2008: Cornell had a great first season on the Rams' cross country team in 2008...He finished the season with some great times...He opened the season with his best place of the season, finishing 24th in the 6,437m event with a 25:05.50...His best 5K time of the season came at the Adidas Wolfpack Invitational in Cary, N.C. where he finished 67th with a 19:52...He his best 8K time came at the Asics/Winthrop Invitational where he finished 106th in 31:22.

Personal: Cornell will return to the Rams Cross Country team this fall after a great first season with the Rams in 2008... A native of Manassas, VA, he is a graduate of Osbourn High School where he earned numerous letters in multiple sports for the Eagles...He was a member of the Eagles' 14-0 state champions in 2006 under head coach Steve Shultze...As a Ram, he is also a well-decorated athlete...He was named to the 2007 Dean's List last fall and spring...He also earned the 2008 Braveheart Award for Track & Field...He is the son of Theodore and Zella Jones.
