2008: James had a solid sophomore season for the Rams...He had his best finish of the season at the UNC-Pembroke Invitational when he placed 46th in the 5K event in 28:56.51...His best 8K finish of the season came at the Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic in Orlando, Fla. in 32:48.10...His best 5K time came at the Asics Winthrop Invitational where he finished 89th with a 21:29.

2007: The 2007 season was James' first season of competition with the Rams' cross country team...He had some solid performances on the course with some great finishes and times...His best finish of the season came at the UNC-Pembroke Invitational when he placed 29th in the 6K event...His best 8K time of the season came at the Erskine Cross Country Invitational when he posted a season-best 32:19.00.

Personal: The 2009 season will mark Legins' third season as a member of the WSSU cross country team after finishing the season with the team last year...A native of Westerville, Ohio, he is a 2006 graduate of Westerville North High School where he was voted his team's MVP en route to national qualifying honors and a scholar-athlete award...The son of James and Alicia Legins...A Sport Management major at WSSU...Born in Honolulu, Hawaii on October 26, 1988. Nicknamed "JL".
