2009: Matthew had a solid first season with the Rams cross country team...He posted a 30:07.9 at the Greensboro Invitational...With the effort, he finished 74th at the event...His best place of the season came at the Salem College Invitational where he placed 12th...He finished the 8K event with a 31:35.5...He posted a career-best 28:43 at the Race of Champions at the American Cross Country Festival...He added a solid 29:37.40 at the Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic.

Personal: Matthew joined the Rams cross country team in the fall of 2009 after a great high school career...He was a talented two-sport athlete for the Vikings...He led the Vikings to a third place conference finish in 2008 and a second place finish in 2007...Also a stellar performer in the classroom, he earned the team's academic award in track & field as well...He is the son of Michael and Cheryl Noble.
