PLEASANT GARDEN, NC - Led by Kenneth Koech's 25th-place finish, the Winston-Salem State University Rams cross country team earned an eighth place team finish at the Old Northstate Cross Country Championships hosted by Guilford College at Hagan Stone Park in Pleasant Garden, NC on Saturday morning.
Koech turned in the best individual finish for the Rams as he led all WSSU finishers and was the only WSSU runner to crack into the top 25. He was followed closely by Gerrod Sidbury who finished 44th and Alvin Powell who finished 50th.
In other WSSU notable action, Chris Sifford (53rd) and Cory Wright (54th) rounded out the Rams' top 60 finishers.
