Final Stats

DURHAM, NC - The Winston-Salem State University men's cross country team earned a first-place team finish at the North Carolina Central University Cross Country Invitational on Saturday afternoon as Kenneth Koech tallied a top-five finish to lead the Rams to victory.

Koech led all WSSU participants as he completed the eight kilometer course in 26:13.90, besting his nearest Ram teammate by nearly one minute and 20 seconds.

Gerrod Sidbury earned eighth-place individual honors with a time of 27:49.17 and Cory Wright recorded a tenth-place finish as he completed the course in 29:27.74.

The three top-10 finishes for WSSU led to the Rams' one-point victory as they earned only 28 points while Methodist College recorded 29 points en route to runner-up honors.  North Carolina Central earned bronze-medal honors with 81 points.
