Cary, NC - The Winston-Salem State University men's cross country program finished in sixth place on Thursday afternoon at SAS Soccer Park in Cary, NC as they finished the CIAA championship with 120 total points.  The Rams Kenneth Koech paced WSSU as he recorded a time of 27:56.0 to capture sixth place.

WSSU would record three top-20 finishers as Koech (2^nd with a time of 27:56.0) Gregory Watts (11^th with a time of 29:35.5) and Gerrod Sidbury (18^th with a time of 30:27.90) all placed amongst the top 20 finishers.

For his top-10 finish, Koech is named to the All-CIAA first team, something that no other Ram runner has accomplished in the history of the fledgling program.

The Rams will await the NCAA regional rankings and are preparing for the upcoming National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Southeast Regionals.
