2007-08: Jalesa was one of the top players to the squad in 2007...She didn't get many of the glory numbers that stick out, but she is one of the best overall players on the squad as one of the team's top players at both ends of the court...She was honored as the team's most improved player in the spring...Her best offensive performance came at Hampton where she scored a career-high 14 points, capping three straight games with double-digit scoring...She started in 27 of the team's 28 games and missed one game with an illness...She pulled in nine rebounds with two blocks in the sea¬son opener at Virginia Tech...She had six rebounds against Radford in the team's home opener, but was hampered by foul troubles playing only 31 minutes against the Highlanders...She finished the game with four points as well...Returned against the Auburn Tigers with two points and five rebounds against the physically dominant Tigers squad in the opening round of the 2008 Klosterman Buckeye Classic...She had one of her shortest games of the season, playing just 18 minutes in a loss to the Colgate Raiders in the consolation round of the tournament...She finished the game with no points and five rebounds in the loss...Played 23 minutes against South Carolina State with seven points and four rebounds in the loss, but fouled out of the game...She had four points and six rebounds against USC-Aiken in her next outing...She also hit her first collegiate three-pointer in the game...She totaled three points and six rebounds against Elon...Played 32 minutes at Johnson C. Smith with five points and six rebounds...Played 37 min¬utes at Wake Forest, but recorded just one point with five rebounds...Played 37 more minutes against Alabama State with five points and five rebounds...Struggled in 20 minutes against Maryland-Eastern Shore with just one point and two rebounds against the Fighting Hawks...Picked up her play against the Delaware State Lady Hor¬nets with five points and seven rebounds...Added 10 rebounds and five points against Howard...She had a great offensive game against Hampton with eight points and 10 rebounds...The effort marked back-to-back games with at least 10 rebounds...She sat out the North Carolina A&T game due to an illness...She returned to the lineup 37 minutes at Norfolk State...She scored seven points and five re¬bounds in the heartbreaking loss...She scored a career-high 11 rebounds in a home game against Florida A&M...She played 36 minutes against the Lady Rattlers with a steal, an assist, and a free throw...She finished the game with just one point...She had a strong offensive game against Bethune-Cookman with seven points and four rebounds...She was 2-of-4 from the free throw line with a three-pointer....She had a solid game against Morgan State with four points and three rebounds in 27 minutes of play...She was saddled with foul troubles in the loss...Her foul troubles and the limited time led to a 44-32 rebounding edge for the Mor¬gan State Lady Bears...Jalesa returned two days later for a solid effort against Coppin State with seven points and five rebounds in 36 minutes of play against the Lady Eagles despite struggling through an ankle injury...She started against Longwood to score eight points against the Lancers in the team's Think Pink Game...She also added five rebounds and a blocked shot in the loss...She continued to develop offensively with 10 points and four rebounds against the Howard Lady Bison...She also added a pair of assists in 39 minutes of play...She hit a career-high six free throws in a loss to the Hampton Lady Pirates...She played all 40 minutes for the second time in her career...She has never taken the bench against Hampton...She finished the game with 10 points, six rebounds and a blocked shot in the road loss...She was also 3-of-4 from the free throw line....She returned home to score a career-high 14 points against the North Carolina A&T Lady Aggies...She also led the Lady Rams with seven rebounds in the loss...Foul troubles arose once again to hamper her efforts against Norfolk State in the final home game of the season for the Lady Rams...She finished the game with one point and two rebounds in 16 just minutes of play...She had back-to-back great games against Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman...She combined for 18 points and 10 rebounds in the two games...She capped the 2007-08 season with a great game at South Carolina State...She finished with 13 points, four rebounds, two blocked shots and an assist.
