2008-09: Was off to a great start as a true freshman before injury cut her season short...She showed a lot of promise with significant playing time in the first four games of the season with one start...She played six minutes in the season-opener at Elon, but fouled out of the game...She showed a lot of promise in the contest with four points and two assists in just six minutes of play...Played 15 minutes against UNC-Wilmington...She scored eight points with six rebounds in the game...She made her first career start against the U.S. Naval Academy...she finished the game with 17 minutes played...Scored four points with one rebound in the game...She played 14 minutes at Wake Forest but suffered a season-ending knee injury in the game.

Personal: Shatara Jackson will return to the Lady Rams after a freshman season that was cut short...She is a talented athlete who will have a chance to help the Lady Rams at both ends of the court right away...She has the talent to play either the point guard or the shooting guard position...She is a 2008 graduate of Elmsley A. Laney High School in Wilmington, NC and earned varsity letters under head coach Sherri Tymes...The team had a stellar 2006-07 season when she helped lead the Buccaneers to a 28-2 record...She earned numerous honors, including being named to the All-Area team and earning first team All-District honors...She was also named the team's MVP as a senior...She is the daughter of Carlos and Tara Mack.
