2007-08: A talented guard with a great shooting touch, Rene was one of the top additions to the Lady Rams squad during the 2007-08 season...She started in 26 of the team's 28 games ...She was the team's leading scorer in three games as a true freshman...She started in her collegiate debut at Virginia Tech, scoring five points with one assist and a rebound against the Hokies...She played 33 minutes against the Radford Highlanders with 10 points, three rebounds, and a pair of assists in the game...She played 20 minutes against the Auburn Tigers in the opening round of the Klosterman Buckeye Classic...She finished the game with eight points, one rebound, and an assist...She added 12 points and three rebounds against the Colgate Raiders one day later...She played 23 minutes with eight points against the Raiders...She returned home to play 31 minutes against South Carolina State where she scored 12 points with three rebounds...She connected on a career-high four three-pointers in the game...She played 31 minutes at USC-Aiken where she scored seven points with two assists, a blocked shot, and a steal in the loss...She scored six points in 36 minutes in a home game against the Elon Phoenix...She played 39 minutes at Johnson C. Personal: Rene Rector joins the Lady Rams this fall as one of the more highly anticipated players this season...A native of Winston-Salem, NC, Rector was one of the top players in the area...Led her Spartans squad to a 26-5 record and a Central Piedmont Conference championship playing for head coach Rick Anderson...Earned All-Northwest honors three times and was named Most Valuable Player twice for the Central Piedmont Conference...A Sports Management major...The daughter of Phillip and Floydette Rector.
