CHARLOTTE, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams were unable to capitalize on three shot attempts in the final 10 seconds of a game that saw them trail the Bowie State Lady Bulldogs by only one point as BSU earned a 52-51 win over WSSU to end the Lady Rams' season in CIAA Tournament first-round action from Charlotte Bobcats Arena on Monday evening.

WSSU took their five point advantage, leading 28-23 at the half, and immediately added to the cushion in the second half as they started the period with a 4-0 run to pull ahead by nine points at 32-23.

Despite the nine-point deficit, the Lady Bulldogs would not roll over for the Lady Rams as Bowie State mounted a run of their own as they earned their first lead of the second half at 41-40 with 10:34 to play in the contest.
