WINSTON SALEM STATE QUOTES
John Williams

General Comments Concerning the Game
Third time here, and I was pleased with what we did in the first half. We dropped off in the second half; I was glad the ladies hung in there and pulled out a victory.

Q: Why were you not shooting well in the second half of the game?
A: Free throws in the first and second half kept us in the game.

Latoya Armstrong
Q: What were your teams main focus for the second half?
A: Before the second half started we talked about our defense, even though we had a ten-point lead we knew that the only way we could win was to "D" up.

Shalonda Carter
Q: How does it feel to be playing your hometown again?
A: We knew this game would come again. Coach said we would see them again in the tournament.

John Williams
Q: What do you need to do to beat Fayetteville State University?
A: We need to take care of the basketball. We can handle the tempo they are trying to play and hopefully we will come out with the victory.

General Comments About the Game
MOSES GOLATT
This is not the news conference we wanted to be in. There are a lot of reasons why we did not compete well this season, and tonight. They played a better game then we expected and we were not ready for it.

Q: What were you doing well in second half?
A: We made the shots we needed to make. We had a couple of turnovers and it seemed like we could not recover from the bad turnovers we made.

Pria Stellmacher
Q: Why were your teammates not shooting well?
A: I guess we rushed a lot of shots and didn't set up offense that much. They had good defense pressure on our guards; mainly we didn't step up like we should have in other games.
