The Lady Rams, who extend their win streak to two games and open the season 2-0 for the third consecutive year under Head Coach John Williams, jumped out to an early lead on the Lady Bulldogs in front of 2,201 fans at the

WSSU raced out to the early lead, leading by as many as 15 points during first half action en route to a comfortable 12 point lead at the halftime intermission as they headed to the locker room leading 41-29 in the contest.
Despite weathering a four minute stretch in the second half where WSSU would not record a field goal, the Lady Rams continued to keep their lead in the double digits as they held on for a 73-62 victory to move to 2-0 on the season.
WSSU was led by Shalonda "Baby Shaq" Carter who paced four Lady Ram scorers in double-digits with 12 points on five of six shooting with five rebounds. Tiffany Tonkins chipped in with 11 points and Latoya Armstrong and Janet Robinson each added 10 points.
Barton was led by Keauna Vinson who recorded 12 points in the loss. She also added 10 rebounds to lead all rebounders in the contest.
With the win, the Lady Rams improve to 2-0 overall (0-0 CIAA) while the Lady Bulldogs fall to 0-1 on the season.
