GAME NOTES
GREENSBORO, NC - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (1-13) will play one of their biggest games of the season, Saturday afternoon when they head to Greensboro, NC to take on the North Carolina A&T Lady Aggies (11-5). Not only will the Lady Rams face a local rival, the squad will also face the challenge of taking on one of the best teams in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
Despite being separated by just 31 miles, Saturday's game will be the first meeting between the two teams in a decade and will be their first meeting as members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. With an all-freshman roster, the Lady Rams will have to shake off some nerves playing in the unfriendly confines of the Corbett Sports Center. The Lady Rams are 1-4 in games against MEAC opponents this season and are averaging 43.9 points per game and allowing 67.1 points in games against MEAC foes.

The game will be a bit of a homecoming for a pair of Lady Rams as freshmen guards Montague Austin and Nikki Kee both hail from Greensboro, NC and are both graduates of Dudley High School. The duo has combined for eight starts this season, but has had some great efforts early in their careers. Kee had a great run this season with four straight games with double-digit scoring this season. She scored a career-high 15 points against Maryland-Eastern Shore. Austin has made a pair of starts this season with a career-high seven points scored against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
The young Lady Rams will head into unfriendly territory heading to the Corbett Sports Center where the Lady Aggies are 4-1 with conference wins over Morgan State and Coppin State. Making matters worse is a Lady Aggie squad that leads the MEAC in scoring offense at 68.4 points per game. Senior guard Amber Bland leads the way for the Lady Aggies at 14.9 points per game while sophomore guard Ta'Wanna Cook adds 10.0 points per game as well. As a team, the Lady Aggies are allowing 61.9 points per game and could give the Lady Rams a chance to score above their 43.9 ppg average this season.
The Lady Rams and Lady Aggies are scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off at the Corbett Sports Center in Greensboro, NC.
