BALTIMORE, MD - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (2-17) will get one of their biggest tests of the season when they take on the surging Coppin State Lady Eagles (12-11), who have climbed into third place in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference standings. While the Lady Eagles are a car cry from last season's team that went undefeated in MEAC play, the Lady Rams will have a large test ahead of them nonetheless as they take on a Lady Eagles squad that has won six of their last seven games.
The Lady Rams will be seeking their first road win of the season when they face the home-standing Lady Eagles who are 7-4 at home this season. As a team, the Lady Rams will look to keep up with a Coppin State team that is averaging 64.5 points per game this season, well above the Lady Rams' 45.1 points per game. Looking to lead the way for the Lady Rams will be sophomore guard Corbin Bradford who is nearly averaging double-digit scoring this season. Thus far, Bradford is averaging 9.2 points per game and has reached double-digit scoring in six of her last eight games, including a career-high 21 points in a win over Bethune-Cookman.

Facing the Lady Rams will be the high-scoring duo of Shalamar Oakley and Rashida Suber. The MEAC's top scoring tandem this season. Oakley currently leads the MEAC at 18.4 points per game while Suber is second at 17.7 points per game. WSSU freshman guard Nikki Kee, the team's leader in steals will also look to disrupt the Coppin State offense with her ability to cause havoc on the defensive end.
The Lady Rams and Lady Eagles are set for a 5:30 p.m. start at the Coppin Center in Baltimore, MD.
