Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Department of Athletics announced on Wednesday that they have named women's basketball player Janet Robinson and men's basketball player Alleggrie Guinn the Crown Trophy-WSSU Student Athletes of the Week for the week ending January 14th, 2005.

Robinson, a junior forward from Durham, NC helped the Lady Rams to a 2-1 record on the week as she recorded 44 points and 15 rebounds in three games. Her best performance came against Saint Augustine's College on Tuesday as she recorded 18 points and pulled down four rebounds. For her efforts, she has been named the Crown Trophy-WSSU Student Athlete of the Week.

Guinn, a junior forward from Charlotte, NC helped the Rams to a perfect 3-0 record on the week as WSSU won their seventh, eighth, and ninth consecutive games. Guinn led the Rams in scoring in all three contests

Alleggrie Guinn Was Named The Crown Trophy Male Student Athlete Of The Week

as he recorded 61 points and 14 rebounds over the span of three games. His most impressive performance came against Saint Augustine's College on Tuesday as he tallied 27 points and three rebounds in WSSU's overtime win. For his efforts, he has been named the Crown Trophy-WSSU Student Athlete of the Week.
