HAMPTON, VA – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (44-19, 44-19 CIAA, 33-12 CIAA South) earned the third seed in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division. As a team, the Lady Rams finished the season with a 44-19 overall record and a 44-19 effort in conference play. The team also posted a 33-13 record in the CIAA Southern Division. With the effort, the team qualified for the 2012 CIAA Bowling Championship Tournament and will enter as the third seed from the division.
The effort capped a great effort for the Lady Rams with the team ranking sixth in the conference in total pins (31,853) and scoring average (758.40). The team did record the second-highest team match score of the season with a 925 against Bowie State at the CIAA North/South Meet. WSSU freshman Kia Edgerton led the way for the team with a 157.81 average for the season. She was followed by senior Raven Forrest with a 150.57.
