DURHAM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (49-26) gave it all they had, but the team came just short with a 4-2 loss to Virginia State in the elimination round of the 2013 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Bowling Championship Tournament. The team gave a valiant effort to play on in the tournament, but fell short against the Lady Trojans.
The Lady Rams entered the elimination round of the tournament after taking a 4-0 loss to Bowie State, yesterday. The team stayed alive with a 4-1 win over the Shaw Lady Bears, yesterday. The Lady Rams opened today's play on a high note, upsetting the top-seeded Saint Augustine's Lady Falcons, 4-2 to advance to take on Virginia State.
Unfortunately, the team's run ended when the Lady Rams suffered a 4-2 loss to Virginia State.
