CHARLOTTE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams bowling team closed out the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) North/South Meet win an impressive 3-2 performance in Baker games play, Sunday evening. With the effort, the Lady Rams finished the event with a 7-8 record against teams from the CIAA Northern Division.
The Lady Rams opened the day in style when they recorded a clutch 688-678 win over Virginia State. The team followed the effort with back-to-back losses, falling to Bowie State, 570-706, and Elizabeth City State, 638-648. The team would not fold, however, as they bounced back for wins over Chowan, 694-611, and Virginia Union, 685-659.
With the effort, the Lady Rams improve to 31-26 overall and 27-17 in the CIAA. The Lady Rams will return to action in two weeks when the team competes in the Aggie Master's Challenge in nearby Greensboro, N.C.
