GREENSBORO, NC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (36-31) posted a 2-3 record in team match play on the second day of the 2014 Aggie Master's Classic, Saturday. The Lady Rams finished the day with wins over NCAA Division I Morgan State and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) leading Fayetteville State Lady Broncos, but took losses to the rival North Carolina A&T Aggies and the North Carolina Central Eagles.
The Lady Rams opened the day on a down note with back-to-back losses to the host North Carolina A&T Aggies (830-1,028) and the North Carolina Eagles (900-782). However, the team bounced back for an 816-742 win over Morgan State and an 850-742 win over Fayetteville State. The team then closed out the day with a tough 799-733 loss to the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
WSSU senior Raven Forrest led the way for the Lady Rams with 884 total pins, including a 203 against the host North Carolina A&T Aggies. She was joined by sophomore Kia Edgerton who totaled 816 pins on the day as well.
