NAGS HEAD, NC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (47-38, 38-22 CIAA) closed out the regular season in style when the team posted a solid 3-2 record in Baker games play at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) North/South Division Meet in Nags Head, North Carolina. With the effort, the Lady Rams finish the meet with a 10-5 record against the CIAA Southern Division.
The Lady Rams opened the day with a split. The team took a 576-497 win over Johnson C. Smith, followed by a 763-601 loss to division leading Fayetteville State. From there, the team posted back-to-back wins when the defeated Livingstone, 597-507 and Shaw, 560-456. However, the Lady Rams closed out the day on a down note with a 643-506 loss to the rival Saint Augustine's Lady Falcons.
With the effort, the Lady Rams close out the regular season with a 47-38 overall record and a 38-22 record in CIAA play. The team will finish the season ranked second in the CIAA Southern Division with a 19-10 record in the division and will head to Durham, N.C. to take part in the 2014 CIAA Bowling Championship Meet next weekend.
