Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams bowling team started off Homecoming Weekend 2003 in style as they easily defeated three Western Division Opponents en route to posting a 3-0 record on Friday afternoon in day number one of a three-day competition.

The first match of the day saw the Lady Rams roll past the Lady Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith University by the score of 745-645. Leading the way for WSSU in that match was Latoya DesChamps as she tallied a 316 series.

The second match of the day was slightly closer for WSSU as they defeated the Fayetteville State Lady Broncos 809-729.

The third and final match of the day was a WSSU victory over their arch nemesis, the Lady Eagles of North Carolina Central University. The Lady Rams kept their momentum and defeated NCCU 829-721.

The Lady Rams will return to action at Countryside Lanes in Kernersville, NC on Saturday afternoon starting at 2:00 pm.
