Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams bowling team posted a 13-2 record this past weekend, as they demolished all their Western Division competition, and in the process clinched the 2003 Western Division regular-season bowling title.
The Lady Rams finished yet another weekend in first place as they rolled over the competition, posting a 13-2 record over the three-day tournament format. The first place finish marks the fifth straight time during the 2003 season that the Lady Rams have gone wire to wire sitting in first place.
Head Coach Leon Kay's Lady Rams finished the weekend with 2280 total pins, a full 172 total pins more than their nearest competitor.
The Lady Rams will resume their quest for a CIAA Bowling title next weekend, as they will participate in the 2003 CIAA Bowling Championship tournament in Durham, NC. The tournament is slated to start on Monday, November 17th.
