DURHAM, NC - Winston-Salem State University and Elizabeth City State University, the regular season champions in their respective conference divisions, are proving to be the teams to beat after posting unblemished records in day one of the 2003 CIAA Women's Bowling Championship at the AMF Lanes in Durham, NC.
After five matches, WSSU and ECSU both have 5-0 records, Bowie State University is 4-1, while Shaw University and Virginia State University, the reigning conference champion, are 3-2.
The 12 conference teams will resume play on Monday at 9 a.m. with the sixth and final head-to-head regulation match before starting cross-divisional Baker matches.
The 2003 CIAA Women's Bowling Champion will be crowned on Tuesday.
