WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams closed the 2008-09 season on a high note with a great performance at the Columbia 300 Music City Classic in Smyrna, Tennessee, Sunday. The Lady Rams ended the tournament with a 1-8 performance on the day with a clutch win over Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Southern Division leader Norfolk State.
The Lady Rams had their struggles during the day with losses to Hampton (501-635), #19 St. Francis (503-677), #8 Kutztown (525-760), #9 Central Missouri (573-735), #14 Morgan State (590-635), #6 New Jersey City State (518-757) in Baker games formant #2.
In format #3 Baker games, a best-of-six format, the Lady Rams posted a 1-2 record with a loss to Hampton (1-4), but took a win over Norfolk State (4-1) before closing the day with a third loss to Hampton (1-4).
