Lady Ram Bowlers Go 3-2 On Day One Of Bowling Competition In Kernersville, NC

Kernersville, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams' bowling team posted a 3-2 record on the first day of bowling competition at Countryside Lanes in Kernersville, NC on Friday afternoon. The Lady Rams posted victories over Livingstone College (twice) and St. Augustine's College, but dropped a pair of matches to the Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State University en route to an impressive showing on the first day of competition.

The Lady Rams opened competition with a 736-693 win over the Lady Blue Bears of Livingstone College as Lashonda Horton rolled her way to a 203 game. They then completed the sweep over Livingstone 759-693 as RaDonna Kirby bowled a 191.

The third and fourth matches of the day were not as kind to the Lady Rams as they dropped a pair of contests to Fayetteville State by the scores of 857-775 and 769-767. Lashonda Horton led the Lady Rams in both matches with a 175 and 181 respectively.

The Lady Rams closed out the first day of competition with an easy 813-590 win over the Lady Falcons of St. Augustine's College as Lashonda Horton once again led WSSU with a 181.

The Lady Rams will return to action at noon on Saturday with matches against St. Augustine's, North Carolina Central and Johnson C. Smith.
