Raleigh, NC - The Lady Rams of Winston-Salem State University started off with a bang on Friday afternoon as they rolled their way to five straight victories at the CIAA Western Divisional bowling challenge in Raleigh, NC.

WSSU started the day with a pair of wins over the Lady Falcons of Saint Augustine's College as the Lady Rams won back-to-back matches by the scores of 707-676 and 744-662 as they benefited from Lashonda Horton's 202 game in the first match and her 178 game in the second match as she led WSSU in both games.

The second match of the day saw the Lady Rams sweep the Lady Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith as WSSU earned a 776-720 win in game one and an 807-702 win in the game two.  RaDonna Kirby led WSSU in both games as she rolled a 177 in game one and a 180 in game two.

The third and final match of the day would see WSSU close out the first day of competition with a flawless record as they capped a 5-0 day by earning a win over Livingstone College by the score of 744-666.

The Lady Rams will take their 5-0 record into Saturday's second round action as they open up bowling competition versus the Livingstone College Blue Bears at 10:00 AM.
