WSSU Finishes Day Two Of Bowling With 1-4 Mark; Moves To 6-4 Overall

Oct. 20, 2005

Raleigh, NC - The Lady Rams of Winston-Salem State University rolled their way to a 1-4 record at the second day of the CIAA Western Divisional bowling challenge in Raleigh, NC to finish the second leg of the three-part weekend with a 6-4 overall record.

WSSU started the day as a victim of revenge as they fell in defeat to the Livingstone College Blue Bears by the score of 723-828 as LC exacted retribution for Friday's match in which the Lady Rams defeated the Lady Blue Bears 744-666.

The second match of the day saw the Lady Rams fall in consecutive matches to the Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State University.  WSSU lost the first match 740-867 and fell in the second match 726-811.

The third and final match of the day would see WSSU earn a split with the Lady Eagles of North Carolina Central University.  WSSU earned the 836-732 win in the first match behind a 200 game from Shannon Davis.  However, the Lady Eagles snuck out the win in match two by the score of 808-773 on the wings of Tiffany Johnson's 198 game.

The Lady Rams will take their 6-4 overall record into Sunday's final round action as they open up Baker Match format bowling competition at 10:00 AM.
