Winston-Salem, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams' bowling team posted a 4-2 record for the second consecutive day of intra-league bowling competition at AMF Capital Lanes in Raleigh, NC as they swept the Lady Vikings of Elizabeth City State and earned a split with both Bowie State and St. Paul's.
The Lady Rams opened the day with two wins over Elizabeth City State by the scores of 891-828 and 866-871 to jump out to an early lead on the day. Lashonda Horton led WSSU with a 201 in the first match and RaDonna Kirby led WSSU with a 196 in the second.
WSSU would then split a pair of matches with Bowie State University as they dropped a 778-815 loss in the first match and picked up an 889-827 win in the second.
The final matches of the afternoon would see the Lady Rams once again split a pair of matches with their opponent, this time with the Tigers of St. Paul's College. WSSU earned an 882-631 win in the first game and lost a 720-697 decision in the second game.
WSSU will return to action on Sunday morning at 10:00 am as they will face off against all six Eastern Division CIAA schools in baker match bowling competition.
