Salisbury, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams' bowling team closed out the first day of competition in a Western Division Bowling Challenge in Salisbury, NC with a flawless 5-0 record as the closed down Friday's action in a first-place tie with the Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State University.
WSSU earned a pair of victories over the Lady Falcons of Saint Augustine's College, a pair of victories over the Lady Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith University and recorded a lone victory over the Lady Blue Bears of Livingstone College.
WSSU's 5-0 record marks the best first-day record that the Lady Rams have turned in this season and may help to propel WSSU up the CIAA standings.
The Lady Rams return to action on Saturday morning at 11:00 am as they begin day two competition versus Livingstone College, North Carolina Central and Fayetteville State.
