Salisbury, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams' bowling team closed out the second day of competition in a Western Division Bowling Challenge in Salisbury, NC with a 4-1 record to improve their two-day record to 9-1 and remain in a first-place tie with the Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State University. The Lady Rams and Lady Broncos split a pair of matches on Saturday to saddle each other with their lone loss of the weekend thus far.
WSSU opened the morning with their second consecutive victory over the Lady Blue Bears of Livingstone College by the score of 811-750 to kick start the day's competition with a win.
The Lady Rams and Lady Broncos would then split a pair of matches with Fayetteville State winning the first match 882-772 and the Lady Rams earning the second-match win 907-771 as Lashonda Horton rolled a 269 game, her best game of 2004.
WSSU completed the afternoon with a two-match sweep over the Lady Eagles of North Carolina Central University by the scores of 829-817 and 827-725.
The Lady Rams return to action on Sunday morning at 10:00 am as they will face each CIAA Western Division team in a best-of-three Baker Match format competition.
