Lady Rams Post 4-1 Record On First Day Of CIAA Bowling Championships

Durham, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams women's bowling team lost only one match on Sunday afternoon as they posted a 4-1 record on the first day of the 2005 CIAA women's bowling championships from AMF lanes in Durham, NC.

 

The Lady Rams started the day with a 796-752 win over the Lady Trojans of Virginia State University to begin the afternoon with a victory.

 

WSSU followed the win over Virginia State with a second straight win, as the Lady Rams cruised by Saint Paul's College 806-740.


 

 

 

The Lady Rams lone loss of the afternoon would come in the third match of the day as WSSU fell 913-688 to the Shaw University Lady Bears.

 

Coach Tyrone Scales' Lady Rams would immediately rebound versus Bowie State and Virginia Union as WSSU earned wins by the scores of 816-797 and 734-639 respectively.

 

With the wins the Lady Rams sit in excellent position as they head into the second day of competition on Monday.

 

WSSU returns to action on the lanes at 11:00 am versus an as-yet-to-be-determined opponent.
