SUMTER, SC - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (4-44) will look head south this weekend to take part in the South Carolina State Bulldog Open Bowling tournament this weekend. The two-day event will feature team match play on Saturday and Baker games play on Sunday.
The Lady Rams will be counting on their mix of solid returnees and new talent to push the team in this weekend's effort. WSSU freshman Miranda Day had a great debut for the Lady Rams at the FAMU Rattlers NCAA Bowling Classic. Day knocked over a team-best 1,012 total pins in team match play at the event. She also rolled a season-high 193 against the Florida State club team last weekend.
This weekend's event will begin play Saturday morning. For more information on Lady Rams bowling, contact the WSSU Office of Athletic Media Relations at (336) 750-2909 or log on to www.WSSURams.com.
