Winston-Salem, NC - The accolades keep pouring in for the Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams bowling team. For the second straight week it is a member of the WSSU bowling team that has been named the Crown Trophy - WSSU Female Student Athlete of the Week.

The WSSU Department of Athletics has announced that LeAndrea Suggs (Sr./5'6"/Kinston, NC) has been chosen as the Crown Trophy - WSSU Female Student Athlete of the Week for her performance this past weekend at the second CIAA Bowling event of the 2003 season in Raleigh, NC.

Suggs, a senior at WSSU, helped to lead the Lady Rams to their second consecutive first-place finish over their CIAA Western Division opponents. The Lady Rams currently sport a 28-2 record overall and sit alone atop the CIAA Western Division bowling standings. Suggs ranks second in the Western Division in bowling average with a 162.0, just 15.6 pins behind her CIAA leading teammate, and last week's Crown Trophy Female Student-Athlete of the Week, Latoya DesChamps who turns in a 177.6 average. The Lady Rams will return to action on the 17th, 18th and 19th of October in Raleigh, NC.
