Houston, TX - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams will face all seven opponents on the first day of competition at the inaugural NCAA Women's Bowling Championship.
The Lady Rams will bowl three games in the first session of bowling which runs from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Houston's Emerald Bowling Lanes.
The Lady Rams will face the Gothic Knights of New Jersey City University (59-33-1) in their first matchup before moving on to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's University of Maryland Eastern Shore. The Lady Hawks sport a 78-39 record on the season thus far.
Third up on the schedule for WSSU are the Knights of Farleigh Dickinson University who appear in the tournament with a record of 75-19 in 2003-04.
WSSU will round out the first session of bowling versus the Sacred Heart University Pioneers. The Northeast Conference member checks in, at press time, with a record of 66-39.
The Lady Rams, upon returning from their dinner break, will begin 7:00 pm's second session versus the powerhouse of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (59-13) before moving on to face the Jaguars of Southern University (78-39).
WSSU caps day one with the final match of the night versus the 2003 National Champions, the Jennies of Central Missouri State University (72-23).
