Hampton, VA - Winston-Salem State University women's bowler Lashonda Horton (Sr./Greenville, NC) has been named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association's Western Division Bowler of the Week for the week ending October 10th, 2004.

Horton helped to lead the Lady Rams' bowling team to a second place finish in the Western Division Bowling Challenge this past weekend as she helped the Lady Rams earn a 10-5 overall record. She led the Lady Rams in pinfall for seven of ten matches over the weekend, registering two 200-plus games with a 203 game on Friday and a 225 game on Saturday. For her efforts she has been named both the CIAA Western Division Bowler of the Week and the WSSU-Crown Trophy Female Student-Athlete of the Week.
