DAYTONA BEACH, FL - The 2007-08 season will get underway for the Winston-Salem State Lady Rams bowling team heads to Daytona Beach, FL to take part in the MEAC Southern Divisional Meet. The Lady Rams will look to get the year off to a good start under new head coach Michael Jackson.
This season, Jackson will look to make the 2007-08 season a "thriller" for the Lady Rams who will feature an experienced squad with four returnees from last season's team. The team will look to build upon a 10-60 record last season and will to do it with a seasoned group of bowlers who will look to improve upon last season's effort.
The Lady Rams will face a talented field of competition which includes host Bethune-Cookman, Florida A&M, Norfolk State, North Carolina A&T, and South Carolina State. Host Bethune-Cookman is just two seasons removed from its last Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championship and was the conference runner up to eventual national runner up Maryland-Eastern Shore.
The two-day event will open on Saturday, followed by Baker games play on Sunday.
