March 17, 2017 Rams Take Dramatic 4-3 Loss to Chowan at CIAA Round Up CHARLOTTE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (4-16, 0-1 CIAA) took a hard-fought loss to the Chowan Hawks (16-13, 1-0 CIAA), Friday afternoon on the opening day of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Round-Up. Playing in a rematch of the 2016 CIAA Championship game, the Rams were edged out by the Hawks in a classic fashion.
March 17, 2017 Hargett Named to 2017 CIAA Pre-Season All-Conference Team CHARLOTTE, NC – The honors keep coming in for Winston-Salem State senior pitcher Mercedes Hargett. On Friday, she was named to the 2017 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Pre-Season All-Conference team. The honor comes at the heels of her earning both CIAA Pitcher and Offensive Player of the Week last week.
March 14, 2017 Rams Sweep CIAA Weekly Softball Awards CHARLOTTE, NC- The Winston-Salem State Rams softball team filled up their awards shelves this week when the earned three weekly honors from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), Tuesday. WSSU senior pitcher Mercedes Hargett, senior third base Rebecca Demko, and head coach LaTaya Hilliard-Gray all took home honors from the CIAA.
March 10, 2017 Hargett Strikes Out Seven in 8-0 Win Over Indiana (Pa.) SALEM, VA – The Winston-Salem State Rams (4-13) had one of their best performances of the season when the team took a dominating 8-0 five-inning win over the Indiana (Pa.) Hawks (1-1), Friday. The Rams took the win behind a dominating performance from senior pitcher Mercedes Hargett as she struck out seven of the 18 batters that she faced in the win.
March 10, 2017 Rams' Allow Late Rally in 10-8 Loss to Shippensburg SALEM, VA – The Winston-Salem State Rams (3-13) had a great late rally, but the effort was not quite enough as the team took a 10-8 loss to the Shippensburg Raiders (10-7) on the first day of the Salem Invitational. The Rams took the loss in spite of a great offensive day with six fifth-inning runs in the tough loss.
March 7, 2017 Holloman Named CIAA Defensive Player of the Week CHARLOTTE, NC – Winston-Salem State sophomore second base Jasmine Holloman capped a great week when she was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Defensive Player of the Week, Tuesday morning. She earned the honor after a great week of play at second base last week.

Cheerleading Camp

WSSU Head Cheerleading Coach, Eboni Graham, welcomes all aspiring cheerleaders 4-17 years of age to the campus of Winston-Salem State University for the WSSU Cheer Explosion Camp June 20-24 at the Donald J. Reaves Center. The five-day camp will take place from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., featuring members of the Powerhouse of Red and White and 2nd year WSSU alum, Coach Graham.

WSSU 7-ON-7 Football Camp

WSSU Head Football Coach, Kienus Boulware, welcomes all High School Football teams to Winston-Salem State University for the WSSU 7-on-7 Football Camp on June 21st. All camps are non-contact. Registration will begin at 9:00 AM in the Field House. Teams will be guaranteed 4 games, lunch, a camp t-shirt. Space is limited due to fields, please register and reserve your teams space now. WSSU Prospect Football Camp

WSSU Head Football Coach, Kienus Boulware, welcomes all prospects in grades 9-12 (as of Fall 2017) to Winston-Salem State University for the WSSU Prospect Camp on July 12th . High School graduates may not participate. All camps are non-contact. Campers will benefit from both individual and team instruction. Fundamental skills will be taught and there will also be some individual and team competition.

Men's Basketball Camp

The WSSU Men's Basketball Program will hold an Individual Camp, June 19th through June 21st. Second grade through Fifth grade will attend from
9am to 12pm (Morning session). Sixth grade through Eighth grade will attend from 1pm to 4pm (Afternoon session).

The cost of the camp is Early Bird Price $85.00  Before June 1st 2017 and After June 1st 2017 Price will be $100.00.
