2004: The 2004 season marked Nance's third year with the Lady Rams' softball team after transferring to WSSU from Mt. Olive College...Was the Lady Rams #2 starter in 2004 and posted a 7-1 record overall with an Earned Run Average of 4.97...Made nine appearances in 2004, making eight starts...went 7-1 in those eight starts and recorded a save in the ninth appearance...Pitched eight complete games (every one of her starts) while recording a pair of shut-outs...Pitched 54.1 innings allowing 66 hits and 36 runs, only 30 of them earned...Walked only 11 batters on the season and struck out 43 as she faced 230 batters...Allowed an opponent batting average of only .287...Tallied nine wild pitches and 17 hit batsmen...At the plate she turned in a batting average of .320 as she recorded eight hits in 25 at-bats...Scored eight runs and four of her eight hits were for extra bases (.500) as she batted in 11 runs...Stole a lone base, and was caught stealing once (.500)...Tallied 3 put-outs and 13 assists and did not make an error in 2004 as she turned in a fielding percentage of 1.00...16th in the CIAA in batting average...3rd in the CIAA in ERA with 5.03...2nd in the CIAA in slugging percentage with .650...Led the CIAA in walks allowed with a conference-low of nine.
2003: Appeared in 30 of 31 games for the Lady Rams, starting 29 times...Was second on the team in at-bats with 94...Recorded 40 hits while hitting .444 (second best on team) as she belted 42 hits in 94 at-bats to rank 31st in the nation in batting average...She hit 13 doubles to rank 22nd in the nation in doubles per game with .42...Slugged three triples and batted in 23 runs for 61 total bases...Turned in a slugging percentage of .678...Walked 17 times and was hit by pitches six times...Struck out only six times...Was two for three in stolen base attempts (.666)...Turned in 35 put-outs and recorded 52 assists while comitting only five errors for a fielding percentage of .946...Was 9-7 on the mound for the Lady Rams in 16 appearances in 2003 turning in a 4.53 earned run average...Pitched 14 complete games and two shutouts...Pitched a team-high 99.1 innings and allowed only 120 hits and 65 runs (50 earned)...Walked only 16 batters while striking out 92 as opponents batted a paltry .284 against her....Named All-CIAA First-Team for the second straight season.
2002: Appeared in all 30 games for the Lady Rams, starting every one...Recorded 40 hits in 95 at-bats for a .421 batting average (third on team)...Recorded 12 doubles and a lone triple as she batted in 36 runs for a total of 56 bases...Recorded a team hig slugging percentage of .534...Was a perfect one for one on stolen base attempts...Recorded 50 put outs and 62 assists while comitting only six errors for a fielding percentage of .949...Recorded a 7-2 record on the mound in 2003 in 13 appearances...Pitched 10 complete games and turned in an ERA of 2.56...Pitched a pair of shut-outs...Pitched 65.0 innings allowing 77 hits and 50 runs (24 earned) while walking only 14 batters and striking out 45...Opponents only batted .276 against her in 2003...Named All-CIAA First Team.

Personal: A 1998 graduate of Robert Glenn High School in Kernersville, NC...A native of Winston-Salem, NC...Was named All-Conference and Conference player of the year her sophomore, junior and senior seasons...Won four straight conference titles from 1995-98...Named All-Region, All-State and All-American twice...She is the only son of Donna and Robert Nance...Transferred to WSSU after playing one softball season at Mt. Olive College...Majoring in Special Education with a concentration in Behavioral and Emotional Disorders.
