2008: Kendall was another talented leader on the WSSU infield...She played in 37 games with 36 starts...She finished the season with a .263 batting average and 16 RBI...she added six extra base hits, including a home run, two triples, and three doubles...Defensively, she finished the season with 52 putouts to go along with 56 assists.
2007: Had a great 2007 season as one of the team's top players both on offense and on defense...Finished fifth on the team in batting with a .233 batting average...Was one of two Lady Ram players to start every game of the season...Added a triple and a pair of doubles...Was second on the team in total at-bats (116)...Was third on the team with 16 RBI...Was second on the team in on-base percentage (.310)...Led the team with five sacrifice hits...Was great on defense with an .885 fielding percentage, 53 putouts, and 55 assists.
2006: One of a number of impact freshman in 2006, Kendall Sutton had a solid performance playing in 40 of the team's 41 games with 39 starts ... She batted .296 with 32 hits in 108 at bats ... She added 10 extra base hits, finishing third on the team in doubles with nine and one triple ... She also was 1-of-2 on stolen bases last season ... On defense, Sutton added 68 putouts and 51 assists with a .922 fielding percentage ... Sutton was a junior in the classroom, but had a great performance in her first season of the field.
Personal: A native of Louisburg, NC, Sutton is a 2003 graduate of Louisburg High School, the same high school as WSSU teammate Louise Ellis, where she was and All-Conference selection in basketball, volleyball and softball for the Warriors en route to earning school MVP honors for all three teams. She was also named the Female Athlete of the Year as a senior. The daughter of Richard Sutton and Miriam Ragland, Sutton's cousin Tara Ragland was a star on the WSSU softball team for four years. An Accounting/Management Information Systems major at WSSU. Born in Henderson, NC on September 15, 1987. Nicknamed "Tank"...She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
