Final Stats

Orangeburg, SC - Albany State University benefited from a rain-shortened game as umpires ended a non-conference softball contest versus the Lady Rams with ASU holding a 14-1 lead as WSSU fell to 0-2 on the season (0-0 CIAA).

The Lady Rams softball team, who fell to 0-1 overall on the season (0-0 CIAA) on Friday afternoon as they fell in defeat 10-3 in non-conference softball action to Coker College looked to try to even up their record at 1-1 but were unsuccessful as Albany State used several extra-base hits to jump ahead early.

The Lady Rams, who were mounting a comeback late in the contest, fell victim to the weather as severe rains forced umpires to call the contest as WSSU dropped to 0-2 on the season.

WSSU will attempt to return to action, weather permitting, at 1:30 pm versus Benedict College.
