The cold weather took its toll in game two of the Winston-Salem State Lady Rams' (0-4) double-header versus the Hampton Lady Pirates (2-0) as the team took a 9-1 loss. The Lady Rams totaled just one hit and five errors in the contest to finish with their third loss of the season.
Sophomore outfielder Domica Scott was the only WSSU player to notch a hit in the contest and was the only Lady Ram player to score as well.
The momentum from the Lady Rams' game one loss continued its swing from the end of the first game and well into the second game as Hampton built a 9-0 lead in the first four innings of the contest. The Lady Pirates took advantage five WSSU errors and just one Lady Ram hit to take the early lead. Sophomore outfielder Domica Scott gave the team a big lift hitting a double in the fourth inning that gave the Lady Rams their first scoring threat of the game. Sophomore infielder Leslie Hollis drove in Scott to give the team its only score of the game.
The Lady Rams won't have long to rest at all as the team will face
